Attachment factors are structural proteins or protein-like substances that allow for cells to adhere to and increase cell-substrate interactions in a culture dependent attachment environment. Numerous glycoproteins have been identified that promote and/or influence in-vitro cell attachment to the surface of standard lab culture vessels. The normal attachment, growth and development of multiple cell types are dependent on attachment factors and extracellular matrix (ECM) components. While some cells are able to synthesize these components, others require an exogenous source, this is particularly true when the cells are grown in serum-free culture system. In order to facilitate attachment, cell spreading, growth, morphology, differentiation, and motility of your cells, we have a comprehensive line of attachment and matrix factors.
