Penicillin-Streptomycin-Neomycin Solution is an antibiotic combination used as a supplement to cell culture media to control bacterial contamination. The Penicillin-Streptomycin-Neomycin Solution is effective against gram positive and gram negative bacteria.
Penicillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. Streptomycin inhibits prokaryote protein synthesis. Neomycin inhibits protein synthesis.
